What it is
IV sedation is a deeper level of sedation delivered and monitored by a board-certified dental anesthesiologist right here in our office. Your child stays safe and closely watched the entire time while they sleep comfortably through their treatment. It’s hospital-grade care, minus the hospital, so we can complete more involved procedures in one calm, efficient visit.
Why your child might need it
IV sedation can be the right choice when your child needs extensive dental work, has significant dental anxiety, is very young, or has special healthcare needs that make traditional treatment difficult. It’s also a great option for completing several procedures in a single appointment, which means less stress for your child and fewer visits for your family.
