What it is
A baby root canal, or pulpotomy, treats a tooth where decay has reached the inner pulp. We gently remove the damaged tissue, clean the area, and seal it, usually finishing with a crown to protect the tooth. It stops the pain and lets your child keep their natural tooth until it’s ready to come out on its own.
Why it matters
Baby teeth do important work. They help your child eat, speak, and smile, and they hold space for the permanent teeth developing underneath. Losing one too early can cause problems down the line, so saving it is often the better path.
